As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or OpenOffice document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements contained in the list of typing rules presented below, which is a description of the editorial requirements of the editorial office.

Author Guidelines

1. All texts should be sent as electronic records to the Editorial Office at redakcja.arwpl@ipn.gov.pl.
2. Articles are accepted in Polish and English.
3. The text submitted to the editorial office should not have been previously published anywhere or submitted to editors of other journals or monographs.
4. In the case of scientific articles, the volume should not be less than 0.5 of a publication sheet and no more than 2 publication sheets (a publication sheet equals 80,000 characters with spaces). The editors reserve the right to make abbreviations in the text (in agreement with the author).
5. The text should be accompanied by:
a) a note about the author(s) with affiliation, ORCID no., in Polish (max. 500 characters), the following information should be provided: year of birth, profession, academic title, main place of work, research interests, most important publications, current e-mail address;
b) title in English;
c) abstract (summary) in Polish (max. 1500) characters including spaces;
d) keywords in Polish and English (max. 5) separated by commas;
e) bibliography of all works cited in the text;
f) a completed author's declaration.

6. Editorial requirements according to the Rules for typescript preparation for publications of the Institute of National Remembrance.
