The article presents the activity cells PPR and then PZPR in the Milicja Obywatelska (Citizens' Militia) over the years 1945-1949. It described the process of organizing and functioning the party executive and the Provincial Committee PPR in the KW MO (Regional Headquarters of Citizens' Militia) in Gdansk. The article also includes information on the membership militian officers to political parties.
In the first two decades after the Second World War over 100.000 political opponents or possible adversaries of communist regime in Romania were arrested, condemned, stripped off of their goods, and forced to spend several years in prisons. Those who survived and were eventually liberated, constantly wore the stigmata of their political condemnation, and the effects of these political condemnations had also a direct effect on their families. The family of the Unitarian priest Nyitrai Mózes was among the ones strongly affected by the communist repression. A part of its members were in prison, and for many years the family was separated. The underage children who remained at home had to deal with many complications. Those arrested faced several health problems. The entire family was affected by social and professional difficulties of integration, because of their “files” and the confiscation of their assets. The story of the Nitrayi family is just one out of many other stories of families who had to endure similar experiences during the Communist regime in Romania.
The article concerns one of the directories of the Institute of National Remembrance - the list of persons persecuted by the communist security authorities. The author introduces a method for creating a directory, its strengths and weaknesses. It stresses the importance of such work and suggests some changes. This innovative text which is to show the achievements of the Institute of National Remembrance in the work of the Polish political opposition from the 80s.
The influence of Catholic Church on the movement Solidarity in Poland it was wide and diversified. Author describe the different perspectives of that influence and divided it on the three main categories. At first it was o common moral rules and the very close view to the political situations and geopolitical issues. Catholic Church had also been trying to affected on the direction of Solidarity agenda and development. At least Episcope had influenced on the particular of social movement leader’s decisions.
