BioSYLWIA SZYC – Dr. in Humanities, specialist at the Institute of National Remembrance in Warsaw Historical Research Office. In 2024, she defended her doctoral thesis, “North Korean War Orphans in Poland, 1951–1959.” Her research focuses on the history of the Cold War, particularly on relations between the Polish People’s Republic and East Asian countries, as well as on Polish diplomacy and the social history of post-war Poland. Since 2017, she has served as secretary of the editorial board of the scholarly journal Komunizm: System – Ludzie – Dokumentacja.
